Mark Piland for Frisco Mayor

My vision for Frisco is to ensure as we grow that we continue to provide a high level of service for residents in all parts of Frisco through providing a transparent municipal government. The priorities below are what I believe we need to secure Frisco’s future as a growing, safe and community focused city.

  1. Provide transparent leadership that is accountable to the residents of Frisco. Create an environment where residents feel comfortable and respected in speaking to their elected leadership.
  2. Ensure the economic vitality of Frisco by continuing to focus on bringing companies and jobs to Frisco through responsible development.
  3. Realize that Frisco is a growing city and we have to plan for the future now. We need to invest in preserving our current infrastructure, existing roads, ensuring our existing parks are well maintained, taking care of our existing city facilities, and further securing the future of our older areas of Frisco by driving investment and improvements in these parts of the city as well.
  4. Public Safety – we cannot take for granted our public safety investments. We need to ensure that we are investing now in the future staffing needs of our public safety departments. I am committed to ensuring our first responders continue to receive the salaries, tools, technology and training needed to meet any future demands. I commit to focus on public safety throughout the year, not just during election season. I do not understand why it was not a Top 10 Priority for the city this year.
  5. Ensure we have the right people in the right roles for our growing community. I commit to work with our City Leadership to ensure that we have experienced, talented leaders that are equipped to provide an environment for all our city employees to be heard and ensure that the best idea wins.
  6. We need to recognize that our residents need to have a greater voice in how we grow our City. We have fantastic development partners but we need to get our residents input on development much earlier in the process and respect their opinions.
  7. I realize that much of Frisco’s success is predicated on many of our regional partners. I will improve Frisco’s relationships with the school districts within our city, our suburban neighbors’ governments, county governments, elected officials and other regional agencies such as North Central Texas Council of Governments, the Metroplex Mayors Council and Regional Transportation Council.
